Brian designed the original sculpted fan back in 1997. He only made a few of them before setting it aside as a chair too difficult for production. Since then our skills have evolved as well as our joinery and systems for production allowing the rebirth of this design in its improved form. This chair represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship and ergonomic design as well as some tricky engineering. The comfort, flexibility and elegance of our sculpted fan back sets this chair apart from any wooden chair made today.

Our superior joinery provides enough strength us to eliminate the entire undercarriage for a clean look and less weight. Because of our joint strength there is no need to connect the arm to the back, allowing the back to flex freely for a soft feeling support.

The meticulous hand sculpting of each part ties all parts together visually with an elegant bevel and fluid transition where parts join. Each detail is carefully wrought to create an overall flow that supports comfort through its sensual look and feel.

The seat offers the finest comfort as well. Underneath the fine German leather a carefully shaped memory foam pad supports your body increasing the comfort the longer you sit. Under this space age memory foam a bent laminated form holds everything in just the right shape for your ultimate sitting experience.
