Project Description

The Atlasbalans M2 is a precision treatment tool used by professional therapists to ease back pain, neck pain, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, muscle tension and for relaxation and increased mobility. The M2 is designed like a thumb or a finger, enabling the therapist to be powerful and precise at the same time, easy to use with its light and flexible form.

The product is a new efficient way to treat muscles and connective tissue/fascia. Waves are spread widely and deeply throughout the body increasing mobility and relaxation; as well as improving flow and circulation. The comfortable and gentle treatment gets rid of tension, loosens up locked connective tissue and increases agility.

The product is designed for simplicity, with circular forms, balancing center of gravity, and minimalism. Scaled to fit nicely in the palm of the hand. M2 is perhaps the most intuitive fascia treatment tool on the market today.

Ergonomically, by putting the main weight inside the hand, allowing for alternative grips around the spherical shaped main body, the center of gravity is kept close to the treated body part, enhancing control in treatment and optimizing the therapist’s skills.

Weight is of importance in order to get the right depth of vibrations. Well balanced ergonomics and a unique grip, similar to holding a tennis ball, allow for maximum mobility of the therapist’s wrist and effective treatment.

The M2 is developed as part of a larger system, which includes mobile work station, field gear and on-person arrangements for mobility in different treatment situations. It is developed and specified in relation to the M1 in the product family, which provides more powerful treatment.

The M2 was developed in close cooperation with professional therapists and in analyzing their work environment.

Materials and production:

The product was precision manufactured for precise tolerances in metal and aluminum.

Front cone is machined steel. The compact body is cast anodized aluminum, housing the tight transmission and special designed and unique internal mechanics. The exchangeable tips have a metal core and silicon outer shape (the product comes with several different tips depending on treatment scenario). A separate power source with controls allows the tool to be as small and user-friendly as possible.

Atlasbalans was started and developed by people with experience from the field. In series of prototypes, products are developed with functional, ergonomic and design considerations. Experiences from other products has led to this new model, with a lighter pressure and with significantly enhanced ergonomics. Prototypes have been tried and tested with feedback incorporated in the final product. Atlasbalans and Frank Etc. work in close cooperation regarding innovation, function, design and brand.
