Project Description

Hip, the new way to carry water, designed by the team who came up with bobble. Reminiscent of a hip flask, the shape is flatter than the standard water bottle, which enables it to be carried more easily in a handbag or by its carrying strap. Hip is lightweight, has a capacity of 22oz / 650ml and a cap lid that securely twists on and off. Made of a clear Tritan body, with a silicone sleeve, strap and twist cap; Hip is BPA Free, reusable, recyclable, and top-rack dishwasher safe. Hip is available in 6 vibrant colors.

Hip’s sleek, flash-like shape disrupts the water bottle typology. This uniqueness allows it to stand out in the oversaturated hydration industry, while connecting with the consumer in a deeper way. The flask form was inspired by how water was carried in Roman times. The silicone sleeve comes in 6 colors and an array of textures. Additionally, in an effort to bring attention to the negative environmental impact of single-serve water bottles, Hip has partnered with Water For People (waterforpeople.org), an organization committed to ending the global water crisis. Every Hip bottled purchased provides access to two days of safe drinking water to a person in need. Hip makes style accessible to consumers and clean water accessible to people around the world.

Hip embodies a break from the mold of the typical water bottle. As a day-to-day solution, the bottle is easy to carry, watertight, and secure. Aesthetically speaking, the unique shape leaves an impression. The varied textured silicone sleeves add a touch of customization and individuality; an outlet for self-expression. Updating the classical typology of the water flask with contemporary finesse displays the innovation at work; it's new while being tried-and-true. Of course, Hip's partnership with Water For People should also be taken into consideration. As the single-serve water bottle industry negatively impacts the environment globally, Hip wants to stand as a reminder for solutions and sustainability moving forward.
