Food à porter is a lunch box designed by Sakura Adachi as a fashion accessory: the name expresses both the function of the object and the stand-out aesthetic value desired/imagined by the designer for this product. A beautiful object, to be shown off, to be worn as a stylish bag.
In the project there are also two references to Japanese culture: those bento boxes where the lunch items are arranged in a careful and visually pleasing way; and the lacquered objects recalled by the alternation of glossy and opaque surfaces of the box's three containers.
