Mark Cavagnero Associates (MCA) is an award-winning San Francisco, California-based architecture firm, founded by Mark Cavagnero, FAIA in 1988. Demirchelie was brought on as Chief Creative Officer to oversee the efforts and teams in creative direction, marketing, and business development. This effort started with the fundamental principles of brand identity, where Demirchelie spent time with founder Mark Cavagnero and the team to identify core company values and the spirit of MCA, to effectively position the company in the industry. The strategy consisted of creating a robust year-long marketing plan, along with various marketing collateral, to convey the distinguished, design-oriented nature of MCA. The approach was centered around defining a cohesive communication language which was implemented through a website redesign, creating a consistent drawing language, various digital and print campaigns, public relations, and participation in major events and exhibitions.
MCA's portfolio of work includes Salesforce.com, Inc.'s global workplaces, the US Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Building Operations, Quest Diagnostics New York offices, the Moscone Center expansion in San Francisco, the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco, UCSF Joan and Sanford I.
