The INVACARE Action Ampla challenges the conventional design in this medical device category, conferring a new aesthetic to our product. Inspired by cycling, automotive and high-tech products, we integrated active mobility in our product D.N.A. It integrates all elements into a coherent and appealing design, hiding all technical details. 

Our modern styling encourages socialization, increasing motivation to engage in human interactions. Creating the desire is the first step to lasting lifestyle change. The soft and smooth surfaces lend a sophisticated appearance, while the sporty design reduces the impact of outsized proportions emphasized by dynamic colored customization elements. Based on a well-thought-out active architecture, made of light and robust aluminum, it was especially designed for overweight people who weigh up to 300 kg. 

The ergonomic backrest fits to their physiology and lends accessibility to the handrims for self-propelling. The “spherical transport wheels” in the rear, intended to prevent tipping, allows the chair to effortlessly pass through doors in a tilted position. The transfer levers support the user in entering and exiting the wheelchair easily and autonomously. 

With its modern-oriented design, the INVACARE Action Ampla promotes a new self-confidence and self-esteem for overweight people – reducing stigmatization and giving a new sense of autonomy.
