Project Description

Henry Haneda is an industrial designer and photographer. His passion is sport fishing. However, from the beginning, Haneda realized that the human body was not as simple as using typical tools in the market, and that many negative effects were hidden there. Many of the lure fishing rods that use spinning reels on the market have many problems with how to connect the reel and grip, and it was generally difficult to set it in the ideal reel mounting position.

In addition, there are many things that are not suitable for firmly fixing the reel so that it does not shift, and the fixing part called the reel foot of the reel connection part also has dimensional differences depending on the manufacturer, so even if you tighten the fixing ring with force There were many drawbacks such as loosening immediately. I have never seen a good fixing method. Also, depending on the fixing method, the fixing tightening ring is circular, so when you grasp the grip, the ring causes discomfort to your fingers. The biggest problem with regular grips is that many of them have a circular cross section, so with such grips the grip rotates in the angler's hands to accurately cast the lure where the fish are. Because it was hard to hold, it was difficult to grasp it firmly, and as a result, inaccurate casting was likely to occur.
