In 2022, Hilton continued advancing their Travel With Purpose strategy and 2030 Goals—but also saw an opportunity to raise the bar based on rigorous analysis and the latest information available. Hilton introduced new, more ambitious environmental and social goals which are laser-focused on paving the way to a net-zero future and creating an engine of opportunity in the communities where Hilton lives, works and travels.
The Report was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and integrates the recommendations of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Hilton is tracking progress against the company’s 2030 Goals which align with the UN SDGs.
Their 2030 targets are validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Hilton reports publicly through multiple venues, including but not limited to CDP, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Hilton’s public financial disclosures and Hilton’s Travel With Purpose website (https://esg.hilton.com/.) This report has been recognized for excellence many times.
It won #8 in the Top 100 Reports Worldwide, Best Report Cover, and a Technical Achievement Award in this year’s LACP Vision Awards. The report was shortlisted for ESG Report of the Year in the 2022 ESG Awards. The report also helped bolster Hilton in many other achievements including the #1 ranking on DiversityInc for ESG, and Employee Resources Groups and People With Disabilities (PWD) after publicly sharing commitments and tracking data; recognition as the #1 best place to work by Fortune magazine; and inclusion in both World and North America DJSI; recognition with a Gold medal by EcoVadis among others.
